Application:    Located before Size Press, Calender, Reel, or Coater stations to automatically cut off the surplus tail being discharged into pulper prior to threading operation.  This eliminates pulling the tail back out of the pulper during threading and creating what is generally known as "double tailing".  Double tailing lowers tail threading efficiency and should be avoided.

Advantages:    Additional production because of increased threading efficiency with only the clipped tail end entering the rope or other threading device.  This condition makes the critical tail transfer clean, automatic, and efficient.  Eliminates the need for the operator to be exposed to a hazardous operation.
